Ed, hope you don't mind me asking and ignore if you want, we all know that we have interest in Perisic and I've seen you say he is a target in other posts and that Inter had set a very reasonable price before the beginning of July. So my question is, what exactly is the hold up/ what is actually going on? Because I've just seen that he's flying out to China with the squad and surely United would of wanted it done by now, so it's not another smokescreen is it? I don't understand why we wouldn't of payed up by now if we did indeed want him so badly. Thanks in advance, any new info would be appreciated just to clear it up a bit.

Ed 002 in addition to this, may I ask you that if persic is the only target for wing role? Because no other name is coming in front. Like at time of morata. It was belloti. For CDM we hear. MATIC, DIER OR FERNANDINHO. So any other transfer target for wings.?

{Ed002's Note - Perisic was second choice but is very much the preferred option. I previously provided a list - they could return again to look at that. I did not know about any interest in Fernandinho. Again, I have said about other options.}

Griezmann was the no1 target. That went south with am's ban. Perisic was 2nd choice and that is why he is now 1st choice. As mentioned above other options were Filipe, Martins and Willian.

I was messaging a friend before who said Inter are asking for large bonuses/ add ons and that is holding the deal up majorly. I don't know how true this is of course but it may well be the case. I doubt ed002 will confirm as it is to do with money and we really don't know the ins and outs of such major deals.

With the player supposedly off to China for pre-season, I think Jose may ask Woodward to tie it up as quickly as possible. If not, I really do wonder if we could convince Sanchez to join us and convince Arsenal to sell to us. I know ed002 has said this is a no go at this moment in time. With the reported fee of around 40odd million plus bonuses, Sanchez, with one year left on his contract, could well go for around 15m more than Perisic. Are we missing a trick here by not trying? Of course, he could have no interest in joining us anyway.

Id throw over the odds cash at a. sanchez but as u say its IF he would come to us in tbe first place.

He is definitely worth spending big on.
