Duncan Castles reporting we want Ronaldo. He seems reliable enough source.

Will end up at psg if he leaves.

Will sign a new contract at Madrid and they will pay his tax bill.

3.) 18 Jun 2017
18 Jun 2017 12:03:50
Madrid will not pay his tax bill. He may stay but the club will not pay for his mistakes if he is found guilty.

4.) 18 Jun 2017
18 Jun 2017 12:44:36
Maybe not officially. but I'm sure Madrid will offer enough bonuses etc to give him more than enough to pay it off.

5.) 18 Jun 2017
18 Jun 2017 13:27:01
Which will be subject to more tax 😐

Ronaldo ain't going to happen fellas. Let's move on.

6.) 18 Jun 2017
18 Jun 2017 15:06:12
Di Marzio has just said Ronnie wants the move back and has told Mendes to do whatever he can to bring him back. Still seems a bit far fetched, can't see it happening : (.

18 Jun 2017 15:18:05
If and it's a big if he moves there is only one destination can you imagine woodys face if he brought him back! It would be the biggest transfer in football history imo both financially and in terms of exposure.

It would be a huge deal for the club.

Oh and if it did happen I would have a cheeky tenner on us for the champions league next season 😉.

18 Jun 2017 16:23:55
Does anyone think that Adidas would help with the financial if Ronny comes back and James along?

9.) 18 Jun 2017
18 Jun 2017 16:57:39
666 Why would Adidas help make the move happen. There is no way on this planet that it would happen as it doesn't benefit them in any way, shape or form.

10.) 18 Jun 2017
18 jun 2017 18:22:42
yeah they will be jumping with glee to see him plastered in nike at every opportunity.

11.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 04:42:28
Bald Duncan gets his news mostly from mendes, it would be in mendes's interest to have utd interested in ronaldo would help in his new contract negotiations, by end of the window ronaldo will have had a change of heart thanks to a new contract and we will sign morata.

19 Jun 2017 07:08:54
Amazing talent and work-ethic apart, doesn't say much about him that he squeaks at paying his tax bill and throws his dummies out of the pram, demanding the parent club pay it, even though he must be worth hundreds of millions.

But we all know he'll won't leave Madrid this season: they'll come to some sort of deal. Let's concentrate on original targets and get them in before pre-season.

13.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 09:37:26
He's kicking a stink up so Real pay his tax bill then he will sign a new deal with them.
Some united fans are obsessed with him, he left us 7 seasons ago. let it go for god sake.

14.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 09:42:16
We need to move on from Ronaldo and build a team for the next decade. I hope to god we don't do anything stupid. He is not the future and the past imo.

15.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 10:03:29
Why the hell would RM pay his tax bill? They already pay his wages. If he doesn't pay his taxes it has nothing to do with RM.

Those who think RM will simply pay his taxes are living on another planet.

16.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 10:48:17
MAZE. "why the hell would RM pay his tax bill"
Errr let me think so he doesn't leave the club.
This reminds me a certain my Ramos last season. says he wants to leave then gets offered a massive new deal and suddenly everything is ok again.
Ronaldo was 7 seasons ago, some people just can't let it go.

17.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 11:59:22
14 million is nothing to Madrid in respect of keeping ronaldo at the club, he probably makes the club that and more by himself in merch etc so it would make commercial sense to hand him a chunky signing on bonus to pay the bill.

18.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 12:13:47
Do you really think the biggest club in the world will be bent over a barrel? What happens when next season superstar has tax issues should they pay that also? Heck maybe they should just fix up Messi's tax bill too to keep the league attractive.

Get real. If Ronaldo has tax problems it is his problem nothing to do with Madrid. If he wants to throw his panties out his pram then RM will most certainly flick him the bird and send him on his way.

19.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 12:33:21
Seen as janujaz got 5 million signing bonus when he signed a new deal with us. I don't see why it's so hard to believe ronaldo would get 14 from Madrid. Unless of course you don't think there's 9 million difference between janujaz and ronaldo - in which case you are the one on a different planet 😂
but hey. My bad for having a different opinion. I shall "get real" immediately. 👍.

20.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 13:04:11
What has this got to do with januzaj?

21.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 13:18:19
That if united give janujaz (average player) a 5mil signing on bonus for no reason, why wouldn't Madrid give ronaldo (world class) 14 million as a signing on bonus to pay his tax bill and to keep him happy - like simo1975 said, this is too similar to ramos and we all know how that turned out. let's be fair, we are probably just getting used as a bargaining tool for a new improved contract like we always do.
I get - and agree with - what you're saying about Madrid not being bent over the barrel, but for the sake of keeping a player like ronaldo for 'only' 14 million, they would be stupid not to. Especially when the replacement (mbappe by the rumours) would cost 10 times that.

22.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 13:19:27
I personally would love ronaldo to come back, but if you held a gun to my head and made me put a bet on at the bookies, my money would be on a Madrid stay and a nice shiny new contract to go with it.

23.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 13:47:24
MAZE -

"If he wants to throw his panties out his pram then RM will most certainly flick him the bird and send him on his way. "

Brilliant, made me laugh that statement has :-D.

Just read that the Real Madrid president has called a press conference for tonight so we might find out more then.

25.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 16:11:52
i don't think its the size of the tax bill that worries Ronaldo, (his company have £200 million worth of assets) but the possibility of prosecution just like Messi and Neymar. Maybe he thinks if leaves the country the prosecution will go away.

26.) 19 Jun 2017
19 Jun 2017 16:19:30
If they were smart, RM would let him go. If they sell now they will probably get around £150m and will clear a massive wage off their books. Given his age and the probability that he only has 2 or 3 good seasons left in him - that seems like a great bit of business to me.

Conversely I think it would be a good bit of business for us too in the short term.

The only party that wouldn't benefit from the deal is Ronaldo himself - which is why I don't see it happening.

27.) 20 Jun 2017
20 Jun 2017 13:56:13
£ 150m? You do know that the man is 32 years old ;D?
