Some of the posts on here and on live chat are embarrassing. The Jose out brigade are fickle and spoilt. Sure nobody likes the style of football we played yesterday but to be honest that is not the reason we didn't challenge this season is it?

It's the numerous easy chances we throw away game after game regardless of who we play against. If just for fraction of those had gone in we'd be talking about the title right now. I blame that squarely on the players not Jose.

Besides we still have a chance for a domestic and European double and champions-league qualification. Leave celebrating 4th to the scousers. if you really love your team support them on Thursday night and in the final.

Spoilt!

How can 4 years of massive underachievement and waste be spoilt?

Nobody would have predicted we would be this far off the league, or how ultra negative we are tactically. We would have laughed at opposing fans predicting this being our season. We mocked other fans for years for this type of talk.

I think there is too much pussy footing about going on and people forgetting the team they support. It's Man Utd not Jose Utd - Europa League and League Cup shouldn't even feature in our vocabulary, but if you condone rubbish you get rubbish.

So long as we 'complete the circle' that's all that matters to some of you and that circle is "fake news", BS dreamt up in desperation. Europa League is meant to be a horrible distraction, not our saving grave. Shameful.

I disagree with you on the europa league now it use to be a bad distraction hence why they changed it to the winner qualifies for the champions league to make it a more interesting competition rather then a reserve team cup!

Yes Statezz, it really isn't a competition we should be having to rely on. Look at the teams we have played in it to get to this point.

Celta Vigo
Anderlecht
FC Rostov
Saint-Etienne
Zorya Luhansk
Feyenoord
Fenerbahce

It hardly gets the mouth watering - our name stands out a mile and we made hard work of quite a few of those games.

Beast

Get over yourself already.

Yours is the type of repetetive negative posts that puts people off coming here and posting.

You just come across as being so entitled. You actually sound like a scouser.

The team had been in bad shape for 5 to 6 years now. Mourihno has only been in the job 10 months and has already won a trophy, there is also the possibility of a 2nd.

How many has Pep won this year in his first season? What about Klopp? Or even Sir Alex. How quickly we forget those days where fans were calling for Sir Alex to be sacked and just look at what he achieved. Mourihno inherited a team of disparate individuals who were underperforming. He has turned them into a side that are hard to beat and has improved our defensive capabilities. Perhaps after the summer when there is a clearout and a chance to buy his own players he will improve our offence too.

You seem to want instant success and a team that plays how you want. Sorry mate, Jose couldn't care less what you think.

08 May 2017 18:06:33
Gibbon - Yes I want instant success and a team that plays how I want, don't you?

Or is this team playing how you want?

I'd settle for a team that approaches games trying to win and using the tools we have available to do so in an ambitious way. I'm not expecting great things yet, just some core values which we have lost in recent years and have no signs of re-emerging under this current manager.

6.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 18:38:39
Good post funky gibbon, many are spoilt as man united fans on here. Want to win everything all the time as it's man Uniteds 'right'.

Go have a look at a club like leyton orient, now there are fans I really do pity. Puts our situation of winning a league cup, on the brink of a Europa cup final and finishing in the top 6 into perspective.

7.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 18:55:49
How can four years of underachievement and waste be spoilt?

When measured against the twenty bountiful years before that, that's when.

Well said RWWD.

9.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 19:26:41
Maybe measure against the seventies where we won one cup! Try supporting from late 68 after all the fun, 9 years before a trophy, and a relegation thrown in. Try the 80's as well being steamrolled by the scousers. Arrogance was something the Scouse had in the late 80's and it seems some United fans have become bloated by success letting arrogance run away with themselves. Winning a cup should be cherished, there are only 4 a season and we have won one last and at least one this season. Relish each and every one.

Look some of our draws should have been wins we all know that, Since Fergie left we have had three managers, all with different playing styles and work ethics. If the board had gone for Jose before Moyes, Our team would have a totally different dynamic to what we have right now. Jose has given everyone he inherited a chance in one game or another. It's been a learning curve for all involved manager included. We will still sign big names champions league or not, it's wages which attract players not playing in Europe. I'm sure Jose will get some big players to join this summer, have a mini clearout, Get the fans on here playing nice again . I'm sure all will come good to those who have faith.

11.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 19:30:14
Beast, picking on your statement that the team/ manager should do the best with the available tools. Do you think that it might be possible that that is exactly what has happened over the course of the season? Look at the players at your disposal, besides David De Gea, Bailly ( who was out for a month), Pogba may be, Zlatan and Valencia. Name one player that goes into the champions Chelsea squad. We have had to play with a male shift defence, a winger at right back, a right back at left back. A 36 year old holdind midfielder, underperforming players like Martial, Rashford, Mkhitaryan et al. Where do you think we should be. If playing at this level, these players need to be taught how to kick a football, then they should just stay home, don't you think?

I am sorry but your posts have become pathetic. I actually disagree with your post before reading it because I know what it will be. Give it a break and back the team. It doesn't matter what you say, the team will not be playing how you want it to. It will play how the manager wants it to. If you have a problem with that, support some other team may be.

12.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 19:46:44
Bang on shan. I genuinely belive fellaini darmaian shaw blind jones smalling Rojo are all playing to the highest level they can. None have ever finished higher than 3rd at any club (Jones and smalling made little or no contribution when united won the league) and now rooney and carrick are very much on the last lap so they are playing as well as they can and they're is no improvement from them either.

13.) 08 May 2017

I just want to say that Beast's negative, and quite boring posts are putting me off this site. Worst fan I've ever come across. I actually think deep down in his sub conscience he'd rather we lost just to further his misery agenda. Beast - you're boring. Do one.

{Ed025's Note - beast is just being honest firebear and i know its a bit repetitive but he does make some valid points, if you are enjoying watching united then god help the sport, they have been woeful lately bar for a couple of games and after 20 odd years of entertaining its hard to swallow some of the dross we have seen in recent times, he is a passionate supporter who is not prepared to put up with united being also rans and to be fair to him he wears his heart on his sleeve and there is nothing wrong with that, i suggest that if you dont appreciate his views then you just ignore them and stop being judge and jury mate..

14.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 22:47:48
Beast doesn't matter about the names of the teams united have had to play the fact is mourinho is using a squad of players which don't have the ability to play his way so he's making them hard to beat ugly away performances and by anyway means trying to get united into the champions league to attract the caliber of players he wants n needs weather that's by finishing top 4 or europa winners! Od rather win a trophy n get into the champions league the finish 2,3 or 4th in the league u don't get a trophy for them!

15.) 08 May 2017
08 May 2017 23:26:48
Statezz I agree with that completely. This squad has no bad players it has 1 world class player in goal 2 top class players In pogba and bailly a few with massive potential rash martial miki tuanzabe tfm and a few really solid pros in carrick rojo fellaini and Valencia and an Injury ravaged Jones smalling and shaw. Very few of our starting 11 would get into the spurs or chelsea 11 .
We need to address the balance of top and world class players. That will help pogba and bailly make that step up from top to world class as the potential is there. It will also help develop the potential of rash martial and co.
A top class cb and left back a top class a holding midfield player and a goal scoring multi functional forward in the mold of greizman or Sanchez would be the priorities as I see them.
For that to happen we need to win the Europa cup. I don't care what happens or doesn't happen between now and the end of the season. As long as we win that trophy I don't care who says what about whom. I genuinely believe that once we are back in the cl it will light the touch paper to an exciting summer and season ahead. Champions league will reignite Jose. He will feel he is back where we and he belong back with the big boys.
I know outta though but to see the rainbow you babe to put up with the rain.

Firebear don't be frustrated. I think beast is a really good poster. We agree I many things but couldn't be further apart on this issue.
Not unlike myself he will argue his point and odds honest nn his views.
I agree he will make the most of every opportunity to jump on any negative to enhance his argument buy there is many of us guilty of that from time to time .
I would consider this session a big success if we win the Europa. But also as a season with many failings in our league campaign
Personally I like the honesty and the calling out of players that he sees as not pulling their weight and while I understand some of the defensive play I can't support the OTT ultra defensive displays against city and arsenal. I would have preferred if he gave 5 debuts and tried to win personally.
If you don't enjoy reading his posts skip them he will be the first to admit he was wrong if it turns around next season
He will also be first to remind you he was right if it all goes tits up🤣🤣.

08 May 2017 23:37:10
Best post of the thread is from the Ed. Beast is probably the least boring poster on here and although his opinions aren't to some people's liking there is no doubting his passion and support for the club. So think twice before telling anyone to 'do one'.

18.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 09:18:48
You can understand why people get bored of the same thing over and over again though. As I said the other day his post after the Arsenal game seemed like he had it written 25 games ago and has been desperately waiting for a defeat so he could be right.

The other problem is with Beast that if we lose it's a disgrace and the manager needs sacking but if we win it's only what we should be doing and these 'Micky mouse' cups are worthless to him and don't even make him happy when we win them. If your club winning trophies doesn't make you happy and you just slag off the trophies they win then to me it is pointless supporting the club. There are plenty of clubs fans who would sell their kids for a league cup trophy, what makes us entitled to say that and the Europa league are Micky mouse and nobody cares? That is what frustrates me, there's being passionate but I get the feeling saltines we could win the treble and beast would complain we didn't win the community shield.

19.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 10:19:38
Totally agree GDS. I think most on here don't really have a concern with what Beast is saying. They are just bored and irritated by the repetitions. I bet the Beast is saying the same stuff for 3 years now. This is what happened with Maze.

20.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 12:35:46
What's beast said that the likes of Ken or shan haven't.
It's just constant repetitive post of our players and team aren't good enough.
we need to buy superstar after superstar.
Spend more money spend more money .
Biggest spend in world football over the last 3 year and people just want more .
Or to compare us to the 70s? It's not even a close comparison .

It's only the last few years that united have really splashed the cash and what have we won?
How would some of our supporters react if we stopped breaking records, paying 100 mill for players, spending more than anyone else .

Who are all the world class players spurs signed? Or has poch got a group of players playing really well?

21.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 13:22:21
Gds, firebear, sham have you thought for one minute that slot of us actually find your posts boring.
Beast is at least a realist speaking out what slot of people are willing to say. No wonder Ed002 stopped posting for a while last year. Your acting like teenage girls with your constant wining and arse liking😂.

22.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 14:15:34

There is nothing in the rules that says you have to be mediocre for a few years because you've had a good run. We are the only team at our level that has fallen this far Cheski/ City/ Bayern/ Real/ PSG/ Barca, even Athletico. The people in charge have been doing a very poor job and have blown fortunes. Hopefully Jose has the team back on the right track and all the less capable management can go back to smoking cigars in the boardroom Which would appear is all they good for. Roll on Europa and next year.

25.) 09 May 2017

Nah Stevie, it's jred and that first time poster ledraig who find my post repetitive and boring so I'll just take a sabbatical from here like a few others like Sydney have done. Hopefully we win the Europa and are in the Champions League next season. Enjoy the culmination of the season. C ya.

27.) 09 May 2017

Don't be daft shan all posters are repetitive at times depending on how passionately believe in their viewpoint.

Shan
I don't seen the difference between beast going on about the team not being good enough and you or anyone else doing the same .
Yet your calling beast pathetic etc.

To be honest I think you have said worse about beast above, than me using the word repetitive.

29.) 09 May 2017
09 May 2017 18:28:54
Fine jred. Beast, my apologies. I don't come on here to pick a fight with anyone. I come on here to read about the team I love like all of you. But I would like to read something new sometimes. I don't read a book twice. As you say I may be a culprit of sounding repetitive sometimes but I guarantee you that I haven't been banging on about the same thing for the last 3 years. For the record, I supported Moyes till he was here, supported LVG till the day he was here and will support Jose till he is here because I support the team and not the manager, whether I like the way things are going or not.

Anyways, support the team as they really need it now.

cheers guys!

To be honest I was pointing out I thought it some of the comments to beast where a bit unfair .
I have a bit of a different view to his but you can't not like him Imo.
No offence meant pal.
