I tend to think he might stay where he is. His agent is now speaking about a deal that he could stay at Juventus. He knows what they can offer Pogba, using the fact that Utd want him to try and bump up his wage. I hope Woodward doesn't let Jose down in the market this summer.

gmartin,

Are you joking? Jose picked 4 players he wanted, Woodward got them signed about 4 days into the transfer window and is willng to offer £100m for the other one. If Pogba chooses not to come it is definitely not because 'Woodward let Jose down'.

I always think this is the problem with United buying players early in the window, our fans are so desperate for shiny new signings they forget who we signed early and are sat there on deadline day in front of Shite sports news hoping to see Messi on a flight to Manchester.

gmartin, I think it is a bit unfair to say he will let Jose down after securing 3 players for him already. Mkhitarayan will be a star.

I didn't say that he had let him down thus far did I? You seem to be all jumping to conclusions. I merely made a comment, that I hope he doesn't let him down and miss out on targets. Yes he has got 3 players in so far, but is his track record up to scratch for previous managers wanting players and not getting them? Wind yer neck in!

Well first window Moyes let Woody down. Second window he got Mata. Third he got Shaw and Herrera in quick. Plus Blind an di Maria. Sixth window Morgan and Bastian same day. Only really fabregas an Ramos were let downs an how much of that was Woody.

I have a feeling the Pogba scenario will be decided in the next week or so one way or another. If he comes great, if he stays then Moorinho will move on.
Because we have dealt with his agent this summer they will know what's on the table.
For pogba do you want a new challenge, get us back to the top and more money assuming RM are really out of the picture or stay and halve CL and probably another Serie A. title.
Reality is he will still want RM so we could be a stop gap and when there ban is finished they come in again then.

ok well here goes. To gmartin regarding What about Hummels, Pedro, Vidal, Kroos, Thiago, Gundogan.?
Since these are based on rumours any way, here according to the rumours on why we failed in the pursuit of these players:
Kroos = Was nailed on (moyes reign) but lvg stopped it to have a good look at squad.
Vidal = was in the works but if you remember he was still getting over a serious knee injury and withmoney asked was seen as too much of a risk.
Gundogan = Same as Vidal back problems i think.
Thiago = There was a rumour statingthat giggs didn't think he was united quality.
Hummels = didn't want to come
Pedro is probably if rumours are true that woodward dropped the ball on.

Now in No way am i defending mr woody but slating the man over pure conjecture created by media is a bit silly.

Now i'd rather judge him on hw well he does at the financial packages it takes to get players in. so far i haven't bn impressed, far example when he publicly stated of the warchest (hate that term) they had and that money was no object (idiot) think it was start of lvg reign. like seriously what was he thinking.

Thank you wee rant is over.

My! I didn't expect all that when I posted! I was just referring to Woodward always trumpeting intent which is always bad when it comes to price. Might explain the stupid money being quoted for Pogba.

Danny185 does it really matter whether woodward says we have money to burn or not.

Our financial figures are released every quarter and they generally show the club to be doing well.

Its not like its a secret we have money.

It makes little to zero sense Raiola keeping Pogba at Juventus. Raiola despite whatever he may say via the media, he will want a big money MU move. Then every summer we'll hear about a Pogba move to PSG or RM. It's how mercenaries like Pogba and Raiola work. Nothing wrong with that, but that's what they are.

Exactly my thoughts on it too Sydney. A part of me thinks United should say '**** it then' and move on to a different target.
Pogba is bound to have reservations about returning to United, it would purely be down to money. 1 or 2 seasons in, and he'll be pushing for a move to La Liga.
I'd try my luck with Verrati and Kroos.

gds i get what you're saying but having money and stating u have x amount to spend is not the same thing.
stating money is no object is beggin selling clubs to stick the arm in.
