I see Evans looks set to leave with clubs such as Stoke and Spurs showing interest although Evans has stated Everton to be his preference.does this indicate a possible exchange with Stones coming to us with fee as well to Everton.

Would be great to get this kid under the noses of Mourinho and the Chelski contigent . ?.

I hope I'm not the only person who would like to keep Evans. Yes I'd like Stones too but Evans was fantastic for a while. More so with Rio and Vidic but he showed real talent and ability I think he still has that he may just need to focus or work harder or something but he's a home grown lad and has real good potential and the last thing we need after last season is to be letting defenders go.

RedKen you may be in the minority of one. Evans has had 7 full seasons in the first team (2008/09-2014/15) and is now consistently a liability. Yes he had one good season but 'potential' has passed and we'd do well to cash in on him and let other home-grown talents like McNair and Blackett take up the challenge

Agreed! Jonny Evans should be moved on and I think we should at least try to include Stones in the deal?

If Stones has already decided he wants to move to Chelski then Aymeric Laporte is someone who we should use a lot of effort to bring in, despite his hefty fee!

Antione Griezmann personally I think is a MUST, and a striker for next year?

I don't know about Evans being included in a deal for Stones but I'd take a straight swap for a shiny pebble right now based upon last few seasons

Evans needs to move on unfortunately

Redkane. Errrr mate don't u think at 27 , talking of potential is nonsence?? He is liability, mostly injured, and always fearful in going for tackles.
Never seems confident as a center back

Evans hasn't been as bad for us as some make out. He seems to need a run in the team to build his confidence and then plays pretty well - but he's a nerveous wreck each time he starts his run in the side. The problem for him is that he isn't at a level where he deserves an extended run in the side - he'd be OK as back-up - so he'll always look ropy. He'll do really well at a lower side.

To be honest, I think the spitting and subsequent lying has done for him as much as anything else. You'd certainly rather he was in the side at centre back than Jones at this moment in time, for example. But it is time for him to move on.
